Academy Award nominee Melanie Griffith will star alongside Scott Caan in the world premiere of his play No Way Around But Through at Burbank's Falcon Theatre. Previews begin June 1, with opening night set for June 3. The limited engagement runs through July 8. Directed by Val Lauren, the production also stars Robyn Cohen, Val Lauren and Bre Blair.
No Way Around But Through follows Jacob (Caan) as he discovers his girlfriend Holly (Cohen) might be pregnant. He drags his friend Frank (Lauren) into the maddening wormhole that is his psyche, a venture that lands them on the doorstep of Lulu (Griffith): Jacob’s mother and the matriarch of madness herself. However, Holly and her friend Rachel (Blair) are one step ahead of them.
Griffith earned an Academy Award nomination for Working Girl. Her other film credits include Nobody’s Fool, Another Day in Paradise, Celebrity and RKO 281. On Broadway, Griffith appeared in Chicago as Roxie Hart. Caan currently stars on TV's Hawaii Five-O.
