Jessie Mueller knocked Broadway’s socks off in her Main Stem debut as Melinda Wells, a 1940s jazz singer who defies time and space to woo a lovesick psychiatrist, in the recent revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Mueller recently stopped by the Broadway.com studio to chat with Editor-in-Chief Paul Wontorek about her recent Tony nomination, meeting her idol Audra McDonald at the Tony nominee press reception and her plans to bring her boyfriend, Chicago-based actor Andy Truschinski as her Tony date. Mueller also discussed her upcoming role as Cinderella in the “cool and gritty” new production of Into the Woods in Central Park this summer and reminisced about acting with her sister Abby in Chicago.
