Second Stage Theater stars past and present came out in droves on May 7 to celebrate the opening night of Paul Weitz’s world premiere play Lonely, I’m Not. Screen star and theater first-timer Topher Grace leads the cast as former corporate cutthroat Porter. Four years post-nervous breakdown, Porter falls for a work-obsessed but equally damaged woman, played by Olivia Thirlby. This charming—if challenged—couple is joined on stage by a colorful cast of characters played by Christopher Jackson, Maureen Sebastian, Lisa Emery and Mark Blum. Once the curtain fell on this cinematic piece of theater, playwright Weitz, director Trip Cullman and more joined the company at HB Burger to celebrate their success.
