Randy Redd and Curt Bouril will join the cast of off-Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet. Redd will play Jerry Lee Lewis, with Bouril taking on the role of Sam Phillips. Redd joins the show on May 14, with Bouril following on May 16.
Redd has appeared on Broadway in Ring of Fire and Parade. Bouril’s is best known for his work on the HBO hit series Boardwalk Empire. The Million Dollar Quartet cast also features Eddie Clendening (Elvis Presley), Lance Guest (Johnny Cash), Robert Britton Lyons (Carl Perkins) and Victoria Matlock (Dyanne).
Set during the historic December 4, 1956 recording session that took place in Sun Records Memphis' studio, Million Dollar Quartet brings together iconic musicians Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis as they perfrom some of rock 'n roll's biggest hits. The show originally opened at Broadway's Nederlander Theater on April 11, 2010 and earned three Tony Award nominations including Best Musical. After 489 performances, the musical closed and transferred to off-Broadway's New World Stages on July 28, 2011.
