Broadway veteran Sarah Jessica Parker (Annie, Once Upon a Mattress) and film star Kate Hudson will join the fourth season Glee, according to Entertainment Weekly. The two actresses will each be featured on a multi-episodic arc on the FOX hit though no exact details have been provided about the characters' storylines. The fourth season of Glee will give up its Tuesday time slot and air on Thursday evenings following The X Factor.
Parker appeared on Broadway in The Innocents, Annie, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Once Upon a Mattress. She appeared off-Broadway in Wonder of the World, Sylvia, The Heidi Chronicles and The Substance of Fire. She is best known for her award-winning star turn in HBO’s Sex and the City. Her film credits include Footloose, The First Wives Club, Hocus Pocus, Failure to Launch and The Family Stone.
Hudson received an Oscar nomination and won the Golden Globe for her role as Penny Lane in the film Almost Famous. Her other film credits include 200 Cigarettes, Alex and Emma, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Bride Wars Raising Helen and the film adaptation of the Tony-winning musical Nine.
Parker and Hudson join a long list of Glee guest stars including Whoopi Goldberg, Matt Bomer, Ricky Martin, Kristen Chenoweth, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Gwyneth Paltrow, Idina Menzel, Lindsay Lohan and Cheyenne Jackson.
