Title and Deed, Will Eno’s new one-man play starring Conor Lovett, opens May 20 at off-Broadway’s Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre in the Pershing Square Signature Center. The Signature Theatre Company production is directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett. Title and Deed is presented in association with Gare St. Lazare Players Ireland, and will play a limited engagement through June 17.
Title and Deed is the story of a nameless traveler (Lovett) who visits an unknown country to find solace and connection. The play is a funny and sad meditation on mortality, loneliness, innocence, home, family, love, funerals, words and the world. Title and Deed was written specifically for Lovett.
The production’s creative team includes scenic designer Christine Jones, costume designer Andrea Lauer and lighting designer Ben Stanton.
