Backstage Is About Beauty, Pain and Booze for Nice Work’s Michael McGrath

It’s hard work playing a bootlegger! That’s what Broadway.com learned when Nice Work if You Can Get It's Tony-nominated star Michael McGrath invited us into his dressing room at the Imperial Theatre to show of his five backstage necessities. McGrath, who plays Cookie McGee in the bubbly musical, is well stocked in the pain department, with plenty of Aleve, IcyHot and braces to keep his knees in working order. Some American Crew “hair gook” keeps him stocked in the beauty department, and gives him just the Jimmy Cagney-esque mug he’s going for.
