The Common Pursuit, Starring Josh Cooke, Opens Off-Broadway

Simon Gray’s The Common Pursuit opens officially on May 24 at off-Broadway’s Laura Pels Theatre in the Steinberg Center for Theatre. Directed by Moisés Kaufman, the Roundabout Theatre Company production stars Josh Cooke, Jacob Fishel and Kristen Bush. The Common Pursuit will play a limited engagement through July 29.

Set at Cambridge University, The Common Pursuit is the story of a young student who starts a literary magazine with his girlfriend Marigold (Bush) and their four friends. The Common Pursuit follows these six students over the course of a 20-year span, experiencing love, death and career struggles. In addition to Cooke, Bush and Fishel, The Common Pursuit stars Tim McGeever as Humphry, Kieran Campion as Peter and Lucas Near-Verbrugghe as Nick.

The Common Pursuit features set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Clint Ramos and lighting design by David Lander.
