Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer tourist season, and as usual, that meant a week of healthy box office results on Broadway. For the seventh time, Death of a Salesman broke the house record at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, topping $1 million (with a schedule of seven performances) to take sixth place on the list of top-grossing shows. Meanwhile, The Book of Mormon grossed a record-breaking $1.6 million in the 1,000-seat Eugene O’Neill Theatre on a week when every frontrunner hauled in more than $1.5 million. (Also in the $1 million club: Nice Work If You Can Get It.)
