Christian Borle, who plays evil Black Stache (a.k.a. Captain Hook) in the Peter Pan prequel Peter and the Starcatcher took home a Tony Award in the category of Best Featured Actor in a Play. He was previously nominated in 2007 for the musical Legally Blonde.
Acknowledging the ensemble nature of Peter, Borle said it would be unfair to mention anyone from the "beautifully written" show's cast or creative team, but then did shout out his onstage cohort Kevin Del Aguikla: "Captain Hook is nothing without a Smee with perfect comic timing!"
Borle also thanked his CAA agent Joe Machota, sister Caroline and his mother.
"Thank you for making my mom very very happy for this great honor," he told the crowd in closing.
Borle will next be seen on season two of NBC's Smash, playing composer Tom Levitt.
