Cheyenne Jackson is set to guest star in NBC’s Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane, according to Deadline.com. Produced and directed by Bryan Singer, the show's pilot features Portia de Rossi alongside previously announced stars Jerry O’Connell, Eddie Izzard and Mason Cook.
Hatched from the mind of Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller, Mockingbird Lane will be an edgier, darker take on the classic '60s sitcom. The show will explore the origins of Herman (O'Connell) and Lily (de Rossi) and how they ended up at the kooky and creepy house at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Jackson will play Steve, the chipper new Scout Master of the Munster's young son Eddie (Cook). A widower with no kids, Steve becomes quite enamored with Lily.
Jackson is eyeing a return to Broadway this fall in The Performers and recently stared in MCC’s The Heart of The Matter, a four-night-only benefit event at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. He is currently in talks to star in the Liberace film Behind The Candelabra. His Broadway credits include All Shook Up, Finian's Rainbow, Aida, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Xanadu. He has also appeared on TV's 30 Rock, Glee and Ugly Betty.
