Weekend Poll Top Three: Fans Choose Three Hot Musical Stars as Favorite Broadway Dads

Across the country, families celebrated Father’s Day over the past weekend. To honor some of Broadway’s most fabulous fathers, Broadway.com asked readers which real-life Broadway dad they would most like to hang out with on Father’s Day. The fans have spoken and three dads from some of Broadway’s most fun and flashy musicals topped the list. Check out the results below!

1. Ricky Martin – 24%
It’s official: the only thing cuter than Ricky Martin is Ricky Martin with his two twin sons Matteo and Valentino. Martin is currently juggling his starring role in Evita on Broadway and being a full-time dad with his partner of four years Carlos Gonzalez Abella. By the looks of things, Ricky is doing pretty well on both fronts!


2. Will Swenson – 21%
On stage, Will Swenson is crossing the Australian Outback to reunite with his son in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, but off stage Swenson is a dedicated dad to his two sons Bridger and Sawyer, as well as his fiancée Audra McDonald’s daughter Zoe. Between chatting about his son backstage at Priscilla and his adorable onscreen reaction to Audra’s Tony win, we can see why fans love this family man.


3. Aaron Lazar – 12%
Aaron Lazar is back on the boards as one of three possible dads in the hit musical Mamma Mia!. When he’s not singing and dancing in a spandex jumpsuit, Lazar is doing daddy duty with his two-year-old and seven-month-old sons.
