Tony nominee Patrick Wilson will join the cast of HBO's Girls for the comedy's upcoming second season, according to TVLine.com. Wilson will guest star as Joshua, an older doctor and neighbor of Hannah (Lena Dunham), who catches the aspiring writer's eye. No start date for the second season has been announced at this time.
Created by Dunham, Girls follows a group of four girl friends trying to figure their lives out in Brooklyn. The show has featured frequent appearances by Broadway veterans including series regular Adam Driver (Man and Boy) and guest stars Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon), Peter Scolari (Magic/Bird), Becky Ann Baker (Good People), Christina Kirk (Clybourne Park), Christopher Abbot (The House of Blue Leaves) and Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening).
A Tony nominee for The Full Monty and Oklahoma!, Wilson most recently appeared on Broadway in All My Sons. He also recently lead the now-canceled CBS series A Gifted Man. His films include Morning Glory, Watchmen, The A-Team, Lakeview Terrace and Little Children.
