Broadway Stars Support Max von Essen as He Fills in for Ricky Martin in Evita

Broadway charmer Max von Essen is enjoying a change of scenery at Evita. While headliner Ricky Martin takes a vacation, von Essen and Daniel Torres are filling in as Che in the Tony-nominated revival. Von Essen, who normally plays the role of Migaldi, will take center stage at the Marquis Theatre through July 7 and Toress will play the role on July 8. For his first night as Che, several of von Essen’s famous friends, including Once Tony winner Steve Kazee, Smash’s Wesley Taylor and Spider-Man alum Jennifer Damiano, turned out to show their support.
