Tony-nominated Once star Cristin Milioti will indeed appear in the upcoming Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street, the actress recently confirmed on CBS This Morning. She will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Johan Hill and Jean Dujardin.
“Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are two people who I’ve admired for years and I’m beside myself to get to work with them,” Milioti said.
The Wolf of Wall Street chronicles the dramatic Wall Street rise and fall of former New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio). Milioti will play Belfort’s first wife Denise, an Italian-American hairdresser who is heartbroken when her husband cheats on her. The movie, which is based on Belfort’s autobiography, will begin shooting in August 2012 and be released in 2013.
Milioti’s earlier Broadway credits are The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Coram Boy. Her off-Broadway credits include Some Americans Abroad, Crooked, The Little Foxes, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and The Devil’s Disciple. On screen she has been seen in The Sopranos, 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Nurse Jackie, Year of the Carnivore and more, including the upcoming Sleepwalk With Me.
