Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone will return to 54 Below to perform her solo show Far Away Places September 18 through 22. Back by popular demand, LuPone’s encore engagement will feature a five-piece band and a set list including contemporary songs, Broadway tunes and popular cabaret songs from the '30s and '40s.
LuPone opened the new nightclub with Far Away Places on June 5, which played to sold-out crowds through June 23. As a result of illness, LuPone had to cancel a few of the later concerts during her initial June run.
LuPone won Tony Awards for Evita and Gypsy. She received Tony nominations for her work in Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Her other Broadway credits include An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, Noises Off, Master Class, The Old Neighborhood and Oliver!
