Josh Gad to Guest Star as Beer Delivery Man on TV’s New Girl

Tony nominee Josh Gad will guest star as a beer delivery man on TV’s New Girl, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Broadway alum, who is gearing up to star in the NBC comedy 1600 Penn, will appear in one of the FOX series' two back-to-back premiere episodes on September 25.

On the New Girl, Gad will play Bearclaw, a delivery man who works at Nick’s (Jake Johnson) bar. During the course of the episode, Bearclaw will try to seduce Jess (Zooey Deschanel). On the season premiere, David Walton (Burlesque) is also set to make a guest appearance as a love interest for Jess, alongside new cast members Niecy Nash and Leslie Mann.

Gad earned a Tony nomination for The Book of Mormon, and has also appeared on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. His film and TV credits include Love and Other Drugs, 21, The Rocker, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Modern Family, Back to You and Woke Up Dead.
