The streets of Hell’s Kitchen were steamier than usual on July 30 as Jeremy Jordan headed out on location to film a scene opposite Katharine McPhee for the upcoming second season of Smash. Broadway.com has a first look at the Newsies star, who reportedly plays a “sexy Brooklyn-born singer with a self-destructive streak,” on the set of the NBC Broadway-themed series. “I think I’m bringing a young male energy to it, which I don’t think they really had in the first season,” Jordan recently told Broadway.com. “They wanted sexy energy—at least that’s what they told me.” Jordan and McPhee, who stars as newly single actress Karen, definitely looked in sync on the NYC streets wearing matching black on blue ensembles. (In any century, Jordan is “king of New York.”) Tune into NBC to see Jordan, McPhee and more when Smash returns in 2013. Photo by Jon Viktor Corpuz for Broadway.com
