Broadway vet Becca Tobin and Melissa Benoist will join season four of Glee, according to TVLine.com. The actresses will play the recurring roles of first year McKinley High students Kitty and Marley, respectively. Tobin and Benoist join recently announced new students Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist.
Glee will mark Tobin’s first TV appearance. She has performed in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages as a swing and understudy for the starring role of Sherrie. Benoist has appeared on the hit TV shows Homeland, The Good Wife and Law & Order: SVU.
Set at the fictional McKinley High School, Glee follows a group of misfit students who come together to form a show choir, The New Directions. Under the guidance of their devoted advisor (Matthew Morrison), the students battle the hardships of high school and savor in the thrill of performing.
Glee returns to FOX beginning September 13.
