Marlo Thomas will star in the world premiere of Joe DiPietro's comedy Clever Little Lies at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse this fall. Directed by David Saint, the production runs November 27 through December 23. No further casting has been announced at this time.
Clever Little Lies follows a family with a mother who always knows what's happening among her flock. As their son struggles under pressure from his overbearing mother, a confidence is shared between father and son that escalates into an unexpected family disclosure that could change their entire dynamic.
DiPietro won a Tony for the book of Memphis and is currently represented on Broadway by Nice Work If You Can Get It. Thomas last appeared on Broadway in Relatively Speaking. Her other Broadway credits include The Shadow Box, Social Security and Thieves. She is best known for her run on TV's That Girl.
