Sesame Street has announced an impressive lineup of guest stars to appear on the show’s upcoming 43rd season. Tony winner David Hyde Pierce will make an appearance, as will two-time Tony nominee Amy Ryan and Broadway veterans Kristen Bell and Mario Lopez.
In addition to these stage veterans, Sesame Street’s upcoming guests will include screen stars Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Steve Carell, Zac Efron, Casey Affleck, Paula Patton, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Hamm, Eric Stonestreet, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Timothy Olyphant, Maya Rudolph, Ed Helms and Dax Shepard. The show will also feature NBA Slam Dunk Champion Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Dodger’s Matt Kemp, talk show host Wendy Williams, singer Colbie Caillat, rock band Train, rapper/musician Common, and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
Pierce earned a Tony award for his role in Curtains. His other Broadway credits include Beyond Therapy, Spamalot, Accent on Youth, La Bete, The Heidi Chronicles. Ryan has appeared on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire and Uncle Vanya, both of which earned Tony nominations. She has also been seen in The Women, The Three Sisters and The Sisters Rosensweig. Bell’s Broadway credits include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Crucible, and Lopez made his Broadway debut in A Chorus Line.
