Days after Kristin Chenoweth announced that she will not return to The Good Wife following an on-set injury, the CBS drama has cast Chenoweth’s GCB co-star Miriam Shor in the recurring role of a political reporter, according to TVLine.com. The role is supposedly not a direct replacement for the reporter character played by Chenoweth, who had completed one episode before being hit on the head by a piece of lighting equipment on July 11.
Shor played businesswoman Cricket Caruth-Reilly opposite Chenoweth as sassy heroine Carlene Cockburn on GCB, which was cancelled by ABC after a single season. Shor created the role of Yitzak in the off-Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch and appeared off-Broadway in Scarcity, Almost Maine, Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, Boy, Mondo and Book of Days.
The Good Wife's fourth season will premiere on September 30.
