Broadway Besties: Ghost Star Caissie Levy and Her 'Sis' Kacie Sheik Let Loose in the East Village

Could there be a cuter pair of BFFs than Ghost leading lady Caissie Levy and Broadway vet Kacie Sheik? (Even their sound-alike names are adorable!) These talented ladies felt an immediate bond when they met in rehearsal for the Broadway revival of Hair (Levy played Sheila; Sheik played Jeanie) and have remained super-close ever since. The supportive pals immediately agreed to spend the day with Broadway.com photographer Jenny Anderson for the second Broadway Besties feature. How and when did you meet your BFF?
Kacie: First rehearsal at the Union Square Theatre for Broadway production of Hair in January 2009.
Caissie: Ummm…ditto? :)

What was your first impression of each other?
Kacie: Her energy was cool and chill. Her voice was soaring. Her hair was AMAzzziiing.
Caissie: She looked effortlessly cool and she was incredibly warm with everyone. She seemed like a happy soul.

When was the moment you knew it was BFF material?
Kacie: We just kept coming up with similarities in our tastes and experiences and personal lives, from the music we like to our love of bread and cheese. She's my sis.
Caissie: We were friends right away, but I knew she was a real keeper after our Joe's Pub gig together. We bonded big time doing that, and knew we had to keep making music together.

Name three adjectives to describe your BFF. 
Kacie: Courageous, inspiring, beautiful.
Caissie: Loyal, kind, charismatic.

What do you call each other?
Kacie: Sis.
Caissie: Sis!!! I also call her Sheiky on the regular.

If you formed a band together, what would its name be?
Kacie: The Curls.
Caissie: The Kinks would be good, but that's already taken.

What’s the best gift your BFF ever got you?
Kacie: A necklace she brought back for me from a trip she went on. It's a beautiful string of painted leaves.
Caissie: A gorgeous scarf she bought for me while we were living in London. I wore it nearly every day, including the day my husband proposed...my sis is always with me! :)

What should the title of your BFF’s memoir be?
Kacie: Caissie Levy: You Should Have Been There, xx
Caissie: Making It Look Easy and Sound Rockin': The Kacie Sheik Story

If you could be in any show together what would it be?
Kacie: A brand new piece would be exciting! But I'd be thrilled for any opportunity to work with Cais on another show.
Caissie: Dare I say...Side Show?!

What annoying habits do you find adorable in your BFF?
Caissie [answering for both]: Sorry, BFF's don't spill on the annoying habits. It's part of the BFF pact.

What trait do you admire most about each other?
Kacie: She has the courage of her convictions.
Caissie: She's always true to herself, which is easier said than done.

Who is your friend’s celebrity equivalent and why?
Kacie: Her! Have you SEEN her billboard in Times Square?!
Caissie: a (less ditzy) mashup of Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson.

What about your BFF makes you jealous?
Kacie: Her organizational and planning skills ;)
Caissie: That she rolls out of bed with her hair looking like that. No fair.

I can always count on my BFF to….
Kacie: …have my back. And to sing the high harmony. (And to make sure I'm always okay.)
Caissie: …communicate with one look. We don't even need to speak at this point, we just get each other.
