Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm to Release Musical Theater Album Stages

As Melanie Chisholm prepares to star in the upcoming U.K. arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, the former Spice Girl will release a solo album of show tunes. Titled Stages, the album is set for a September 10 release. 

The album will feature popular show tunes such as "Maybe This Time"(Cabaret), "Another Hundred People" (Company), "Ain't Got No/I Got Life" (Hair) and "My Funny Valentine" (Babes in Arms), as well as a duet of "I Know Him So Well" (Chess) with fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton. 

Chisholm, who recently reunited with the Spice Girls at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics, has previously appeared on the West End in Blood Brothers. Her other solo albums include Northern Star, Reason, Beautiful Intentions and This Time. The Jesus Christ Superstar tour will launch September 21 at London's O2 Arena.
