Minnie Driver will join Meat Loaf Aday, Allie MacDonald and Douglas Smith in Stage Fright, a new horror movie musical, according to Deadline.com. Written and directed by Jerome Sable, and featuring music by Sable and lyrics by Sable and Eli Batalion, Stage Fright is described as a mash-up between Scream and Glee. The new horror movie will be produced by Serendipity Films.
Stage Fright is the story of a musical theater camp terrorized by a cold-blooded masked killer who absolutely hates theater. Driver is set to play Kylie Swanson, a haunted and mysterious stage star who is also the mother of campers Camilla (MacDonald) and Buddy (Smith). Meat Loaf plays Roger McCall, a washed-up Broadway producer turned camp director.
Driver has appeared in the film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera as well as movies like Good Will Hunting, Gross Pointe Blank, Return to Me and An Ideal Husband. Her TV credits include The Riches, Will and Grace, Web Therapy and The Deep.
