After a five year run, Phantom: The Vegas Spectacular is set to play its final performance on September 2. Broadway veteran Sierra Boggess originated the role of Christine in the Phantom reworking, and later went on to reprise the part in the West End run of the musical's sequel Love Never Dies. Now Boggess is wishing the cast and crew well, as the show that gave the actress her big break comes to an end.
"After five years of Phantom in Las Vegas, the show comes to a close this weekend," Boggess tweeted. "Sending love to the company that changed my life!"
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Charles Hart and directed by Hal Prince, Phantom currently stars Anthony Crivello as the Phantom, Kristi Holden as Christine, Andrew Ragone as Raoul, Joan Sobel as Carlotta, John Leslie Wolfe as Monsieur Andre, Lawson Skala as Monsieur Firmin, Tina Walsh as Madame Giry and Brianne Kelly Morgan as Meg Giry.
Boggess currently stars in the West End production of Les Miserables.
