Bye Bye Birdie star Nolan Gerard Funk is going to make teenagers scream all over again. The actor is set to follow in the footsteps of Darren Criss as the newest frontman of the Dalton Academy Warblers on Glee, according to TVLine.com.
Funk, who made his Broadway debut in 2009 as suave crooner Conrad Birdie, will play Hunter, a student who tries to woo Blaine (Criss) back to the prestigious private school so he can re-join the talented a cappella group. Funk will make his appearance on the seventh episode of the show's current season.
Funk got his big break in Nickelodeon’s musical TV movie Spectacular! He has appeared on TV in Warhouse 13 and Aliens in America. His film credits include House at the End of the Street, The Canyons and Another Dirty Movie.
