Tony nominee Laura Osnes has joined the roster of stars participating in Town Hall’s annual Broadway Cabaret Festival. The festival takes place over three consecutive weeks and will kick off with Linda Eder: A New Life on October 13, followed by Broadway Originals! on October 21 and The Best of Broadway by the Year on October 26.
Linda Eder will open the festival with her concert Linda Eder: A New Life, which will pay tribute to the “songbirds” who greatly influenced Eder, as well as her favorite contemporary artists. Eder will be joined by former co-stars Robert Cuccioli and Christiane Noll, who will reunite to sing selections from Jekyll & Hyde.
Next up is Broadway Originals!, which will feature an afternoon of songs and memories with Broadway stars reprising songs they introduced either in an original Broadway production or an original Broadway cast revival. Osnes joins a cast of performers that includes Chad Kimball (Memphis), Alice Ripley (Next to Normal), Karen Ziemba (Contact), Matt Cavenaugh (West Side Story), Tovah Feldshuh (Sarava), Barbara Walsh (Company) and Mandy Gonzalez (In The Heights).
The final concert will be The Best of Broadway by the Year, which was created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel. The event features Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Kerry O’Malley (On A Clear Day), Lari White, Christine Andreas (On Your Toes), Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway), Carole J. Bufford, Jeffry Denman (Yank), Stephen DeRosa (Hairspray), Jason Graae (A Grand Night For Singing), Scott Coulter and Noah Racey (Curtains). The actors will perform the most popular showstoppers from the long-running Town Hall series.
