Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad & the Ladies of Steel Magnolias Celebrate Their Fabulous New Film

They may be as beautiful as magnolias, but make no mistake, these southern ladies are made of pure steel: Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Adepero Oduye, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia and Condola Rashad star in Kenny Leon’s beautiful remake of Steel Magnolias. The made-for-TV movie (based on Robert Harling’s 1987 off-Broadway play and Herbert Ross’ 1989 film) airs October 7 on Lifetime, and fans will not be disappointed! Lifetime hosted a world premiere screening at New York’s Paris Theater on October 3, followed by a lavish party at the Plaza Hotel.
