54 Below, “Broadway’s living room,” is now coming to your living room…and bedroom...and car...and anywhere else you choose! The cabaret venue has partnered with Broadway Records to release a series of live albums recorded at the venue. The series kicks off with recordings of Patti LuPone’s Far Away Places, Norbert Leo Butz’s Live at 54 and Andrea McArdle’s 70s and Sunny. LuPone and McArdle’s albums will be released on December 11, with Butz's recording on January 15.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with 54 Below on this exciting new live album series,” Broadway Records co-founder Van Dean said in a statement. “We believe 54 Below has been, and will continue to be, host to a multitude of legendary concerts featuring Broadway’s brightest stars and this is an opportunity to capture these performances permanently for the fans.”
LuPone’s Far Away Places is produced by six-time Grammy nominee Robert Sher. Butz and McArdle’s albums are produced by Aaron Ankrum.
