Hello, Dolly! will play the Goodspeed Opera House as part of the Connecticut venue's 50th anniversary season, according to the Hartford Courant. Directed by Marc Bruni, the show will run June 28, 2013 to September 8, marking the second Jerry Herman musical at the theater in two seasons, following the Louis Pitre-led production of Mame earlier this year.
Goodspeed's 2013 season will open with the 1927 musical Good News. The show, which features music by Ray Henderson and lyrics by B.G. DeSilva and Lew Brown, will run April 12 to June 22 and is directed choreographed by Vince Pesce.
The main stage season will then conclude with Frank Loesser’s 1956 musical The Most Happy Fella, directed by Rob Ruggiero. The show will run September 20 to December 1. Casting for the three productions will be announced at a later date.
