Tony nominee Lily Rabe will star and co-produce We’re Just Married, a new film written by her Tony-winning father David Rabe, according to Deadline.com. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the film examines an emotionally charged and painfully romantic love triangle. No other casting or production timeline has been announced.
Lily Rabe made her Broadway debut in Steel Magnolias and has since appeared in The Merchant of Venice (for which she received a Tony nomination) and Seminar. Her off-Broadway credits include Heartbreak House, The American Plan and the Shakespeare in the Park production of As You Like It. She is currently starring opposite Jessica Lange in the TV hit American Horror Story. Her film credits All Good Things, Aftermath, Letters from the Big Man and the upcoming biopic Pickford: The Woman Who Made Hollywood.
David Rabe’s plays include the Tony-winning Sticks and Bones, Hurlyburly, Streamers, In the Boom Boom Room, Goose and Tomtom, The Dog Problem and An Early History of Fire. He wrote the screenplays for I’m Dancing As Fast as I Can Casualties of War, Hurlyburly and The Firm.
