The portrait walls at Sardi's are packed with theater stars, and now a behind-the-scenes powerhouse has joined their ranks: Lynne Meadow, Manhattan Theatre Club's Artistic Director. Meadow has been the visionary leader of MTC since 1972, and has directed and produced more than 100 New York City and world premieres. Last season alone, she produced four MTC Broadway productions, all of which received Tony nominations: Terrence McNally’s Master Class, David Ives’ Venus in Fur, Margaret Edson’s Wit (which Meadow also directed), and David Auburn’s The Columnist. On October 24, Meadow headed to Sardi's to officially join the ranks of Broadway royalty. Longtime friends and collaborators like Alfred Uhry, Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker were on-hand to celebrate the unveiling of Meadow's portrait. Click below to enjoy the festivities.
