Laura Osnes, Kerry Butler and Andrea McArdle are set to lead Theater Resources Unlimited’s benefit concert Making the Impossible Possible! on November 11 at Lucky Cheng’s. This year’s annual TRU Love Benefit will honor producer Van Dean, director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell and entrepreneur Edith O’Hara.
Each of the night’s performances will pay tribute to one of the night’s honorees. Osnes will perform a song from Cinderella and the Dean-produced Bonnie & Clyde. Butler will perform “Fly, Fly Away” from Catch Me If You Can (choreographed by Mitchell and produced by Dean). Additional performances from McArdle, Celina Carvajal, Tanesha Ross, Darren Ritchie, Lauren Zakrin, D.B. Bonds and Isabela Moner will round out the evening.
For 21 years, TRU has been a non-profit service organization aimed to educate people in the business of the arts, with a focus on producers, artists and emerging theatrical companies. Past performers at the Love Benefit include Elaine Stritch, Tonya Pinkins, Joanna Gleason, Fisher Stevens, Jenny Powers, Orfeh, Jill Paice and Lewis Cleale.
