Roundabout Theatre Company’s Bad Jews has extended its run by two weeks at off-Broadway’s Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. The show was scheduled to end its engagement on December 16, but will now run through December 30.
Tracee Chimo, Molly Ranson, Philip Ettinger and Michael Zegen star in Bad Jews, which tells the story of Daphna Feygenbaum (Chimo), a “Real Jew” with an Israeli boyfriend she met on Birthright. When Daphna’s cousin Liam (Zegen) brings home his shiksa girlfriend Melody (Ranson) and declares ownership of their grandfather’s Chai necklace, a vicious and hilarious brawl over family, faith and legacy ensues.
Daniel Aukin directs the show, which was written by Joshua Harmon. The Bad Jews creative team includes set designer Lauren Helpern, lighting designer Mark Barton, costume designer Dane Laffrey and sound designer Shane Rettig.
