Carol Kane, Anthony Arkin and Keir Dullea have joined the rotating cast of off-Broadway's The Exonerated. The trio begin performances of the Culture Project production November 6 through 11 at 45 Bleeker Street. Marsha Mason will also join the cast from November 13 through 18.
The actors join the show's non-rotating company of players including Amelia Campbell, Bruce Kronenberg, Curtis McClarin and April Yvette Thompson. Danton Stone will sit in for Jim Bracchitta November 6 through 11, while Leonard Robinson will sit in for JD Williams Novemer 6 through 18.
The Exonerated is a dramatization of six real-life stories of individuals who were sentenced to death, but later exonerated upon the discovery of evidence proving their innocence. The show utilizes real interviews, letters, case files, court records and interview transcripts from death row.
Directed by Bob Balaban and written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, The Exonerated began performances on September 15 and will end its limited engagement on December 2.
