From Harlem Jazz to Porn Stars: Glee’s Darren Criss Enjoys a Theater Weekend in NYC

Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards host and winner Darren Criss enjoyed a special stage-centric weekend: Criss arrived in the Big Apple to support his Glee co-star Amber Riley as she made her New York stage debut in Encores! toe-tapping musical extravaganza Cotton Club Parade. (Riley must be one heck of a co-star: In four days she received surprise backstage visits from Criss, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale!) After Cotton Club’s November 18 matinee, Criss rushed over to the Longacre Theatre for the final performance of the porn comedy The Performers and headed backstage to reconnect with former Glee guest star Cheyenne Jackson.
