Six-time Tony-nomininated composer and musician David Yazbek will welcome special guest, Tony-winning Dead Accounts star Norbert Leo Butz, to his monthly concert series at 92YTribeca on January 7, 2013. At each show, held the first Monday of each month, Yazbek delivers some of his favorite musical numbers, debut new songs and welcome special guests from the worlds of theater, music and comedy.
Yazbek received Tony nominations for his work on The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and most recently for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. The composer/lyricist released his first album, The Laughing Man, in 1996 and followed with Tock, Damascus, Tape Recorder: Collected Works and Evil Monkey Man.
Butz's Broadway credits include Catch Me If You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Enron, Speed-the-Plow, Is He Dead?, Wicked, Thou Shalt Not and Rent. His film credits includes Better Living Through Chemistry, The English Teacher, Greetings from Tim Buckley, Disconnected, Fair Game and Dan in Real Life.
