The West End is about to become a whole lot more glamorous, darling. Joan Collins, best known for her role as Dynasty diva Alexis Carrington, will bring her one-woman-show, One Night With Joan, to London’s Leicester Square Theatre for a six-performance limited engagement. Directed by Percy Gibson and designed by Oliver Sones, One Night with Joan will run on the West End April 12 through April 28.
Joan Collins’ One Night with Joan follows the ups-and-downs of her career. The TV legend will screen rare and hilarious film footage from her life and speak first hand about her screen test for Cleopatra and why she lost the role to Elizabeth Taylor, her on-set encounters with Bette Davis, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Paul Newman and Richard Burton, and, of course, her many relationships. Audiences can also expect to see outtakes of her legendary catfights with Linda Evans in Dynasty. The evening includes a question and answer session with the chance to ask Joan anything about her headline-making life.
The actress will also tour the U.K. with the show, stopping in Northampton, High wycombe, Guildford, Dartford, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Salford, St. Albans and Bournemouth.
Collins has appeared in more than 118 feature films and TV shows, including the '80s soap Dynasty. Her novels and memoirs have sold over 50 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 30 languages. Her stage credits include A Dolls House, Jassey, The Skin of Our Teeth, Love Letters, Legends and productions of Noel Coward’s Private Lives, both in London and on Broadway.
