Audra McDonald to Team Up with Michael John LaChiusa for 92Y's Lyrics & Lyricists Series

Five-time Tony winner Audra McDonald will reunite with Tony-nominated composer Michael John LaChiusa (Marie Christine, The Wild Party) on April 15 as part of 92YTribeca’s Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown series.

The evening will include McDonald and LaChiusa in conversation about his celebrated career and credits, which span from the recent off-Broadway musical Giant to his breakout musical Hello Again. LaChiusa and McDonald have worked together on Broadway’s Marie Christine (for which they both received Tony nods) and the Williamstown production of See What I Wanna See. The evening will also feature performances of LaChiusa’s songs, though no performers have been announced at this time.

Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown features one-night-only talkback series with songwriters working in today’s musical theater scene.
