Uh oh, get ready for McDonald vs. Margulies! Audra McDonald will make a guest appearance on CBS' The Good Wife, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The five-time Tony winner will play Alicia Florrick’s (Julianna Margulies) law school nemesis. Old rivalries will heat up as the two lawyers go head-to-head in court. As of now, the role is a one-time guest spot. No word yet on when the episode will air.
The Good Wife centers around Alicia Florrick, a high-powered attorney who must juggle an unraveling family with her demanding career. The Emmy-nominated series will also welcome Broadway vets Anika Noni Rose, T.R. Knight, Stockard Channing, Miriam Shor, Christina Ricci and Nathan Lane this season.
McDonald is a five-time Tony winner, having taken home trophies for Porgy and Bess, A Raisin in the Sun, Ragtime, Master Class and Carousel. Her other Broadway credits include 110 in the Shade, Henry IV, Marie Christine and The Secret Garden. McDonald has appeared on the small screen in Private Practice, Annie, Wit, A Raisin in the Sun and Mister Sterling.
