Patti LuPone will reunite with her Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown composer and lyricist David Yazbek on February 4 for a one-night-only concert at the 92YTribeca.
LuPone will perform with Yazbek and his band Fine Washables as part of Yazbek’s ongoing series at the 92YTribeca. Yazbek will welcome a special guest star on the first Monday of each month to perform new songs and favorite musical numbers. The series recently kicked off with Norbert Leo Butz.
Yazbek received Tony nominations for his work on The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and most recently for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. The composer/lyricist released his first album, The Laughing Man, in 1996 and followed with Tock, Damascus, Tape Recorder: Collected Works and Evil Monkey Man.
LuPone won Tony Awards for Evita and Gypsy. She received Tony nominations for her work in Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Her other Broadway credits include The Anarchist, An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, Noises Off, Master Class, The Old Neighborhood and Oliver!
