Grammy-winning music legend Barry Manilow took time out of his busy schedule prepping for his Broadway concert event Manilow on Broadway to stop by Katie. While chatting with Katie Couric (a Manilow fan since her teen years!) the pop icon revealed how hitmaker, producer and record executive Clive Davis changed his life. Manilow told Couric that after the disappointing failure of his first album in 1973, he teamed up with Davis to record a little song called "Mandy," which was the "beginning of a new life" for him. Manilow also talked about how he changed the song from an uptempo, guitar-driven tune to the ballad fans know today. He also revealed his love of Adele and Lady Gaga, and why he's crazy about electronica music.
