Tony winners Kristin Chenoweth and Patti LuPone will return to Carnegie Hall for a pair of solo concerts in the 2013-2014 season.
First up is the legendary LuPone, who will perform a one-night-only concert on November 7, 2013. The show, Far Away Places, is described as “a travelogue of styles and stories” with tunes from composers like Kurt Weill, Cole Porter and Edith Piaf.
Next, the supremely talented Chenoweth takes the Hall for the first time since her 2004 solo show. On May 3, 2014, Cheno will bring the powerhouse vocals to a new concert entitled Evolution of a Soprano, which will be most likely be decidedly more about sopranos than about evolution.
LuPone and Cheno’s pair of performances won’t be the only Broadway faves to perform at iconic venue in the next year; the New York Pops will also welcome Montego Glover, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley and Ashley Brown to the stage.
