Why is Kristin Chenoweth calling a recent flight from Dallas to Los Angeles the “trip from hell” on Twitter? As we all know, Chenoweth is a huge dog lover, who even started the charity Maddie's Corner to promote animal rights.
TMZ reports that Chenoweth was attempting to board an American Airlines plane when the flight attendant supervisor allegedly denied the actress permission to bring her dog Maddie onto the aircraft. Chenoweth reportedly protested but burst into tears when the agent scolded her for not having the proper paperwork to consider Maddie a service dog (which, it turns out, she isn’t).
“American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supervisor Ms. Kidwell. Abuse not okay. #tripfromhell,” the star tweeted after the disagreement. Earlier today, she wrote, “Maddie is NOT a service dog. She is an emotional support animal. Just fyi TMZ.”
Eventually, the airline apologized, gave Cheno clearance to take her Maltese pooch on board and even refunded the $125 charge for bringing a pet into the cabin. No word on how Maddie is coping with the stress. (See below for one possibility.)
