Head back to the night that ignited the gay rights movement: June 28, 1969. The night that sparked the Stonewall Riots is illuminated and dramatized in Ike Holter’s Hit the Wall. When a routine police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in Greenwich Village, was met with violent protests and street demonstrations, no one was expecting to change the course of history. Directed by Eric Hoff, Hit the Wall stars a 12-person ensemble featuring Broadway vets Sean Allan Krill, Nathan Lee Graham and Gregory Haney. The show begins previews at the Barrow Street Theatre (not far from the show's real-life setting) on February 19 with opening night set for March 10. But you don’t have to wait until then to get your first look at this exciting historical drama. Broadway.com photographer Jenny Anderson recently dropped by rehearsal to capture the cast in action.
