Tony winner Lea Salogna and Broadway fave Sierra Boggess will lead the 4 Stars: One World of Broadway Musicals concert series in Tokyo and Osaka in Japan this summer. Directed by Daniel Kutner, performances are set to begin June 15 through 23 at Tokyo’s Aoyama Theatre and June 27 through 30 at Osaka’s Umeda Arts Theater Main Hall. Salonga and Boggess will be joined in the production by Bogess' Love Never Dies co-star Ramin Karimloo and Yu Shirota.
Featuring music direction, supervision and arrangements by Jason Robert Brown, 4 Stars will include favorite tunes from Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as songs from shows by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb, Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz and more.
Salonga is getting ready to lead the cast of the Lincoln Center concert of Ragtime, which will bow on February 18 and feature a cast of Broadway showstoppers like Norm Lewis, Tyne Daly, Patina Miller, Kerry Butler, Matt Cavenaugh and more. Boggess is currently starring as Christine Daae in Phantom on Broadway.
The concert production will feature scenic design by Yukio Horio, lighting design by Toshiyuki Kasahara, costume design by Nobuko Miyamoto and sound design by Koichi Yamamoto.
