Rehearsals have begun for the world premiere of Richard Greenberg's The Assembled Parties, and we’ve got a sneak peek at the cast who plays the Bascovs, an Upper West Side Jewish family in 1980. In a sprawling Central Park West apartment, former movie star Julie Bascov and her sister-in-law Faye bring their families together for their traditional holiday dinner. But a house guest has joined the festivities for the first time and he insinuates himself into the family drama. Directed by Manhattan Theatre Club artistic director Lynne Meadow, The Assembled Parties stars Tony winner Judith Light as Faye, Tony nominee Jessica Hecht as Julie Bascov and Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos as Jeff. On February 26, the cast took a break from rehearsals to pose for photos at MTC's midtown rehearsal studios.
