Amy Herzog’s new drama Belleville has extended its run at the New York Theatre Workshop through April 14. The play, starring Maria Dizzia, Greg Keller, Pascale Armand and Phillip James Brannon, opened on March 3 and was initially set to close on March 31.
Belleville follows the lives of Abby and Zack, a pair of American newlyweds who move to Paris' bustling, bohemian Belleville neighborhood. As they try to build a life together far from their family and friends in the States, the duo’s passive-aggressive relationship is tested after an awkward afternoon discovery, a landlord’s ultimatum and a cracked toenail.
Directed by Anne Kauffman, Belleville features scenic design by Julia C. Lee, costume design by Mark Nagle, lightning design by Ben Stanton and original composition and sound design by Robert Kaplowitz.
