Amanda Seyfried has been inching closer and closer to Broadway, having starred in two movie adaptations of hit Broadway musicals (Mamma Mia! and Les Miserables). Now Seyfried finally says that she wants to make the leap to the Great White Way and star in the blockbuster musical Wicked, but there’s one small hitch.
“To be honest with you, nobody would put me in that," Seyfried told E! Online. "I would have to take another two years of voice lessons before I could do that."
Wicked may not be the only show Seyfried would like to perform. She also said of her potential Broadway debut, “I'd like to do something where there's one character who has one big song—a soprano song—but I don't know what that would be.”
Well Amanda, we’d love to see you fly into Wicked as the popular blonde witch Glinda. And if the Broadway score is too much to handle, it’s never too early to campaign for Universal’s upcoming film version!
